Is Your Child Safe?

  • A recent study showed public schools are prime areas for sexual exploiters (such as pimps) to target girls.

  • Pimps will often brainwash their victims using young girls to recruit other fellow classmates.

  • Recruiters can be pimps, small-time gangs, and even family members.

  • In the city of San Diego alone, 20 out of 20 schools had recruiting take place on school grounds.

There is no set way into prostitution.

The average age for young girls to enter the sex trafficking industry is anywhere from 14 to 15 years of age.

But some are even younger.  In the state of California, cases have surfaced revealing children who have been sexually exploited as early as six years old.

Groomed From A Young Age

Girls are introduced to sex at a very early age.

They are taught to sexualize and worship the female body.  Most parents think nothing of it when they see Katy Perry and she is naked on a cloud, and this sexual message is everywhere.

Children can see all this from easy access on their cellphones.

The Truth about Prostitution Today

In the US, 68% of all prostituted women meet the criteria for a diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder. The PTSD rate for military combat veterans is 24 percent.

  • 82% of prostituted women have been physically assaulted

  • 78% have been threatened with a weapon

  • 84% have experienced homelessness

  • 47-57% have been kidnapped

  • 73-92% have been raped, and 59% of this group has been raped more than five times.

"Prostitutes are at the highest risk of being killed by serial killers."

~San Diego District Attorney Summer Stephan~

In 1975, one of the most violent criminals of the 20th Century was arrested. He raped and murdered reportedly more than 100 women over the course of several years.

The Day Before Execution.jpg

The day before his execution Ted Bundy gave a video interview.  In the interview, Bundy went on record to say,

"I’ve met a lot of men who were motivated to commit violence. Without exception, every one of them was deeply involved in pornography - deeply consumed by the addiction."

These statistics help paint a picture of slavery in the U.S. today:

According to  the U.S. Department of Justice, 2011

  • Over 30% of unauthorized Spanish-speaking migrants in San Diego County alone experience labor trafficking.

  • Between 100,000 and 300,000 children are at risk to be forced into the commercial sex industry in the U.S. each year.

  • US Counties with populations of 250,000 or more report sex trafficking as a growing problem.
